Dear (young) researcher,

Within the Young Researchers Network (JON) of the NVMO, we currently have openings for new board members. This is a great opportunity for PhD candidates in health professions education to further develop themselves alongside their doctoral research. Do you know a motivated PhD candidate or junior researcher who is enthusiastic about education, enjoys collaboration, and is looking to expand their academic network? Or are you the motivated PhD candidate or junior researcher? Then we’d highly recommend the JON board as an excellent opportunity.

As a board member, JON Boardmembers will contribute to:
• The JON Day: an inspiring annual event with workshops, research presentations, and networking opportunities.
• Pre-conference activities leading up to the NVMO Annual Conference, connecting early-career researchers.

What’s in it for you?
• It provides board experience and visibility within the NVMO.
• JON Boardmembers will develop key skills in organization, communication, and networking relevant for an academic or educational career.
• It’s a chance to contribute to the wider community of early-career researchers in medical education.

We are currently looking for:
• A vice chair
• A secretary
• A general board member

The time commitment is manageable and can be easily combined with a PhD trajectory. PhD candidates who prefer to contribute on a more flexible basis, such as helping with the organization of JON Day, are also very welcome.
Interested candidates can reach out via jon@nvmo.nl, either to apply, ask questions, or just to get to know us.

Best regards,
Seher Sayin (Chair)
On behalf of the entire JON Board
