Het NVMO Congres 2027 wordt georganiseerd door het UMC Groningen. Het centrale thema van het congres is:

Zie de mens gaat over oprechte aandacht voor elkaar. Over de persoon zien zoals die is. Daarbij gaat het niet alleen over de patiënt, maar ook over collega’s, studenten, opleiders en onszelf.
Leren gaat niet alleen over kennis. Het gaat ook over wie je bent, waar je vandaan komt, wat bij je past en of er ruimte is om vragen te stellen en elkaar echt te ontmoeten.
Mensen leren niet los van hun context. Niet los van cultuur. Niet los van elkaar. Juist in een voortdurend veranderende wereld van technologie, AI, vergrijzing en toenemende druk op de zorg is dat belangrijker dan ooit.
En in 2027 doen we het nét even anders.
Waar het congres traditioneel op donderdag start, beginnen we in 2027 al op woensdagavond met een feestelijke opening en een inspirerend avondprogramma vol ontmoeting, cultuur en verbinding. Daarnaast zal er gedurende het congres een volledig Engelstalige track en service beschikbaar zijn voor internationale deelnemers.
Op vrijdag sluiten we gezamenlijk af met lunch.

The NVMO Conference 2027 will be organised by the University Medical Center Groningen. The central theme of the conference is:
See the person
See the person is about genuine attention for one another. About truly seeing people for who they are. This does not only concern patients, but also colleagues, students, educators and ourselves.
Learning is not only about knowledge. It is also about who you are, where you come from, what suits you, and whether there is space to ask questions and truly connect with one another.
People do not learn in isolation from their context. Not in isolation from culture. Not in isolation from one another. In a continuously changing world shaped by technology, AI, ageing populations and increasing pressure on healthcare, this is more important than ever.
In 2027, we will do things a little differently.
Where the conference traditionally starts on Thursday, in 2027 we will already begin on Wednesday evening with a festive opening and an inspiring evening programme focused on meeting, culture and connection. In addition, a fully English-language track and support service will be available throughout the conference for international participants.
On Friday, we will conclude the conference together with lunch.
