Deze themamiddag zal gaan over wat wij wel en niet weten over wat verschillende internationaliseringsactiviteiten bij studenten teweegbrengen. We proberen de stap te maken van internationalisering-als-geloofsartikel naar een meer evidence informed narratief.
We bespreken onderzoeksmethoden, -data en uitkomsten van bestaand onderzoek, over wat studenten met internationale ervaringen (@Home en abroad) doen, en hoe die van invloed zijn op hun vorming en keuzes, in het bijzonder waar het gaat om de opleiding tot arts.
Deze themamiddag wordt georganiseerd door de werkgroep Internationalisering van de NVMO, in samenwerking met het Geneeskunde Internationaliserings Overleg – Nederland/ Vlaanderen (GIO-NV).

Towards Evidence-informed Internationalization
The working group on Internationalization of the NVMO presents an afternoon seminar about what we do and do not know about the effects of various internationalization activities on students. We aim to move from internationalization-as-conviction to a more evidence-informed narrative.
We will discuss research methods, data, and results from existing studies on what students do with international experiences (@Home and abroad) and how these experiences influence their development, professional identity and choices.
This seminar is organized by the working group Internationalization of the NVMO, in collaboration with the Netherlands/Flanders consultation group on internationalization in medical education (GIO-NV).
